Weeks ago we had put Dalton in his crib for bed. He was in there talking to Baby (his glow worm). I love when he does this because you can tell that he is telling Baby all about his day. In between all the gibberish words will come out and they are things we've done that day like "blocks" or "paint" or "pizza". It's really fun to listen through the intercom. I just really enjoy hearing what was so special that he wanted to share with Baby.
Well, fifteen minutes or so after he had been quiet we figured he had fallen asleep. Jed started sweeping up the crumbs from dinner and dropped the broom.
Dalton yells "otay?".
Jed and I both just look at each other. Do we answer? Won't that make him want us and become sad? So we just stand there.
Dalton yells again "Mommy Daddy, you otay?
We both yell "We're okay honey!"
Dalton yells "Otay!" and we don't hear another peep from him until morning.
:O) Our sweet boy was just so worried about our well being! :O)
