For Jed's birthday I planned a Murder Mystery Dinner. It was "Lethal Luau". I have been feeling so badly about how big of a slacker I've been since I've been sick a lot and I finally started feeling a lot better. So I sent Jed off to work and do homework ALL day on Saturday. I had gotten the food and decorations a few days earlier and our neighbors, the
Garretts, stashed it all for me (and helped move my furniture, and let me borrow a ton of stuff....bless their hearts...THANKS GUYS!) I asked Tyler to help me move the couch and
loveseat into the dining room and the table and chairs into the living room. It was so neat to have it that way.
The Menu suggestions in the game were really weird recipes, so I spent a few hours "researching" Hawaiian dishes. We had chicken kabobs for the appetizer and ham with pineapple and pop, salad, ham fried pineapple ginger rice, pineapple, rolls, this yummy punch, and a pineapple cherry cake. I kind of went all out but Jed wouldn't tell me what he wanted so I figured I would cook him a GOOD dinner for the first time in over a month!
It was a lot of fun decorating and cooking, but by the time the party started I was wore out!
LOL but then our friends showed up and I was wide awake!
Here are some pictures of the night!
This is the table.

This was the food table and the punch table. (forgot to take one when the food and drinks were served)

I wanted to cover up the TV so I used the curtains my mom gave us. I thought it worked well!

We had a good time! I wish we could have had all our
friends there with us. It's so hard when only 8 can play. Here were the players.
Jed: Rip Tide- A scuba diver instructor
Ryan: Les
Baggs- A tourist
Leah:
Leilani- A Hawaiian hula dancer
Tyler: Joey Breaker- The surfer dude
Whitney: Nadia Seymour- The swimsuit model
Erik: Chief Wiki Wiki (his name was longer than that....can't remember)- Hawaiian chief
Mindy: Holly Day- super rich wife
Me: Birdie Putt- Professional woman's golfer at a tournament

It's hard work being the birthday boy!
