Our Trip Out West: Day 1

We went to Utah and Idaho the first week of October for Jed's brother's wedding.  

We had the best time! 

I'm breaking this up into lots of posts.

The night before the flight, we stayed in a Marriot by the airport. 

Dalton LOVED the king size bed.

 Here is a delightful picture of me getting ready at 4:00 a.m

Dalton LOVED the airplane. 

He was such a great boy! Seriously, no one knew he was there until the last 20 minutes of the flight. 

Dalton had a fever of 102 degrees the two days before we flew out. He just wasn't feeling top notch. Right before the plane starting descending, Dalton woke up from his nap and wanted to be held and then said his tummy was hurting followed by throwing up. Poor fellow. It was an easy clean up and his clothes were right above us.

Oh sweet Utah! We have missed you!

 This is Dalton's "Aunt" Amy Jo. We love her to pieces. 

Dalton had missed her! It had been a year since we saw her.

 Dalton loved Temple Square

 The beauty and peace at Temple Square is just breathtaking.

 Dalton really wanted to get in the infinity pool.

 We love to see the Temple!

 Funny tidbit: It was a Friday. There were brides EVERYWHERE. We looked like we had just gotten off a plane and had been up since 3:30 a.m. (Oh wait, we had!). Every single missionary couple that we went past us tried to talk to us like investigators. :O)

After this we went to Costa Vida so that I could get a Sweet Pork Burrito fix! YUM! 

I also don't have any pictures of the awesome get together we had at a nearby park.

We wanted to see some of our friends from our old ward at Utah State. 

Our old bishop, one of the counselors, and 6 or so families made there way from Logan and other places. 

It was SO fun and it made me really miss Logan.

Next, some of our best friends, the Ostlers, came back to Amy Jo's house and hung out for awhile. 

Dalton finally got to meet his betrothed, Little Miss Penelope. 

They sat on the couch and watched a show.

She is a cutie huh? 

Yeah, Dalton did good!
