Because Leah has been very patient with me. :O)

This is my second favorite spot in the apartment. I love having the picture Auntie Etta gave us as a wedding present and the pictures of the two really important temples to us. Not a day goes by that we don't look at them and thank our Heavenly Father for our eternal marriage. AND These are the only new pieces of furniture that we purchased ourselves. We lost a lot of storage space when we moved here, so the credenza holds all of our small appliances. We had to get a really small table because it stuck out so far. We got such amazing deals on both of these...thank goodness. I'm glad we got them when we did, because we won't be buying any new furniture for quite a while.

This is the hallway to all the rooms but the kitchen/living room/ dining nook. The front door is the the left. The door straight ahead is Dalton's room, ours is around the bend to the right of his. The door to the left is our guest bath and the doors on the right are the coat closet and the furnace/storage room.

Of course I would have to put a messy picture on here.... oh well. Soon, my parents are giving us their beautiful entertainment stand. It's only 2 and a half years old, but it's too big to be put on the wall that they want to move it to. We will gladly take it, but until then this old end table does just fine. This is the view from the front door. Excuse Dalton's high chair hanging out and the Scentsy box in the background. And notice the pretty rocking recliner my Papaw Jim and Grandma Jane gave us as our house warming present. My Gram is so funny. When they came to visit the first time she kept asking. "Where am I supposed to rock my great grand baby" to my Pap. After about an hour, we were in the car on our way to all the furniture stores to buy a recliner. :O) I really don't know what we would do without our family!

I love the open layout of our apartment. It's only 1,000 sq ft but it feels a lot bigger to me.

This is our kitchen. It's quite a bit bigger than our old one, but it has less counter space. Talk about difficult to roll out noodles!

This is the guest bathroom. We spend lots of time in here because Dalton loves to take his baths and cries when we take him out. :O)

This is Dalton's room. It is by far the most put together and finished room. When I'm really stressed or wishing that we could buy this or that for a different room I go sit in there and all the silliness goes away. Really, who needs a new couch?? :O) (Thanks Mom & Dad and Papaw Jim & Gramma Jane for the crib and changing table. They are perfect!)
For those of you in Logan, I'm sure you all really understand how much this room means to me. I was so heart broken about Dalton's sad excuse for a corner of a room in our town house. All I wanted to do was make a perfect space for my perfect baby and it was far from it....boxes everywhere, a pack n play as a bed, all of his daddy's school work on his desk, a slanted wobbly desk as a changing table....lol oh how I miss Logan and those sweet first days of Dalton's life. It's true he won't be scarred for life for not having a room at first! :O)

This is the master bath. I thought I wouldn't like the stand up shower for our bath, but it is actually over sized so I doesn't seem to bother me.

This is our bedroom. There is a nice size walk in closet (Dalton shares some of his closet with us too.) Our bedroom really tends to be the "catch all" room with decorations.

So here is our home. :O) I forgot to take a picture of our pretty view from the living room/kitchen/dining nook. The apartment buildings encircle a big pond (they even installed two fountains within it this summer). Also, believe it or not even though we have lived here for 4 months I still have some decorating to do.....I'll try to post when I change some things. Hope you enjoyed the little tour.

  1. Kera I love your apartment. It is so cute and I could really use you to help me with our home. Hang in there. It does help to remember that material items aren't what really matters. I am often reminding myself of that. We love you all!!

  5. Oh Kera, I love your credenza, that was definitely an excellent purchase.

I see you re-did Dalton's letters. They look adorable, as do his bumpers. Cribs just look so much cuter with all of the bedding.

I love the picture of Dalton's room where Dalton is in it. It was almost like playing 'Where's Waldo'...
